Insurance Broker

THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION DESIGNED FOR EXPERIENCED & LICENSED CALIFORNIA INSURANCE PRODUCERS.

WeGo Insurance Agency is seeking a motivated, experienced insurance producer to help grow our commercial and personal lines book. This role is ideal for a self-directed producer who wants strong markets, servicing support, and a transparent compensation structure designed for long-term income growth.

This position is focused on new business production while the agency provides operational and servicing support to allow producers to focus on revenue generation.

Position Overview:

The Insurance Producer is responsible for:

• Generating new business opportunities
• Building referral relationships
• Maintaining and growing assigned accounts
• Cross-selling personal and commercial lines
• Expanding multi-policy households
• Developing outside referral partnerships

Primary business sources include:

• Referrals (Formal Incentive Referral Program Currently In Place)
• Networking relationships
• Existing customer lists
• Digital prospecting
• Telemarketing
• Social media
• Professional relationships

Licensing Requirements:

• Active California Property & Casualty License (Required)
• Minimum 3 years insurance sales experience preferred
• Commercial experience strongly preferred.
• Compensation Structure (Recoverable Draw)
• $1,000 monthly recoverable draw available during ramp period (up to 6 months).

Draw paid:

$500 on the 15th
$500 on the 1st of the following month

Example:

Start May 1:

May 15 → $500
June 1 → $500

Draw offsets against earned commissions.

Commission Structure:

New Business:
8% of Gross Written Premium

Renewals:

Year 1 → 1%
Year 2 → 2%
Year 3 → 3%
Year 4 → 4%
Year 5 → 5%

Renewal increases based on tenure, retention, and production.

Broker Fees:
50% paid to producer.

Life insurance:
$100 one-time bonus

Production Bonus:

$250 bonus for every $15,000 in GWP written/ month.

Examples:

$30K production = $500 bonus
$60K production = $1,000 bonus
$150K production = $2,500 bonus

No cap.

Commission Payment Schedule

Commissions paid on the 15th of the month following carrier payment.

Carrier payments typically occur 30–60 days after binding.

Example:

Policy written May
Carrier pays June or July; threrefore, producer paid June 15 or July 15.

Chargeback Policy:

If policies cancel, reduce premium, or commissions are reversed at any time within policy period:

Associated commissions will be adjusted or charged back.

Visa Versa - additional endorsement premium will go towards GWP production goals in the month realized and paid as new business commission.

Minimum Expected Production after ramp period (6 months):

$35,000 monthly Gross Written Premium

Personal or Commercial lines.

Activity expectations:

800 outbound contacts monthly (leads provided when available)

Maintain at least 3 referral relationships such as:

• Mortgage brokers
• Realtors
• Auto dealerships
• Property managers
• Contractors
• Business owners

Essential Responsibilities:

• Maintain professional client relationships
• Represent agency professionally
• Actively prospect new business
• Cross-sell accounts to increase retention
• Develop referral partnerships
• Support agency growth initiatives
• Attend meetings when required
• Follow agency procedures and compliance standards

Position Structure:

• Commission-based position & Recoverable Draw (6-month duration)
