This is more than a traditional accounting role. They are seeking a hands-on financial leader who can oversee day-to-day accounting functions while also providing clear, accurate reporting and insights that support business decisions. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, collaborative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
- Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Maintain accurate job costing and support project-level financial tracking
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting requirements
- Improve accounting systems, processes, and internal controls
- Partner closely with ownership to provide financial insights, reporting, and recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience required
- 2 years of experience with QuickBooks, construction management software, and Excel preferred
- Strong ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities
