What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Legal Assistant position at Wegman Partners?
We are assisting our client, a global law firm, with a search for a Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team in their Atlanta, GA office.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to several partners, associates, and/or paralegals in litigation practice group.
- Prepare conflict checks, open files, review and revise client billing from accounting.
- File all materials and documents, close files, maintain filing system and calendar.
- Transcribe, revise, and create legal documents and correspondence.
- Make edits to documents, spreadsheets, and letters.
Qualifications
- MUST have a high level of proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of iManage preferred.
- MUST have the ability to type at least between 70-90 wpm without error.
- MUST have strong grammar, proofreading skills, and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of legal terminology, preferably in litigation.
- College degree preferred.
- Previous legal experience, preferably in a law firm.
- Interest in growing career within the legal field.
