Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical counseling, with expertise in psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and behavioral therapy. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will provide individual, group, and family counseling within outpatient settings, utilizing evidence-based practices to support clients’ mental health needs. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations using coding standards to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and facilitate behavior change.
- Document all clinical interactions accurately in medical records while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, and special education staff to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Provide specialized counseling for populations such as children with developmental disabilities, individuals with autism or PTSD, geriatrics, and those experiencing grief or addiction issues.
Pay: $43,000.00 per year
