Role Summary
The Bilingual Academic Operations Manager is a leadership-oriented role responsible for the end-to-end management of the student learning lifecycle and the strategic coordination of our tutor network. You will handle complex academic escalations, manage recruitment and payroll for tutors, and ensure that our high standards for student success and parent satisfaction are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Academic Lifecycle & Client Success
- Manage the end-to-end student learning lifecycle, including personalized course planning, scheduling, and academic performance monitoring.
- Provide regular progress reports and feedback to parents to enhance customer satisfaction and drive contract renewals.
- Coordinate trial classes, track feedback, and assess conversion potential to drive student acquisition.
- Tutor Management & Recruitment
- Lead the full-cycle tutor recruitment process, sourcing candidates via LinkedIn and conducting interviews to maintain a high-quality talent pipeline.
- Match students with appropriate tutors based on individual academic needs and background.
- Oversee tutor onboarding, including training coordination, platform registration, and responding to inquiries regarding contracts and tax documentation.
- Audit monthly tutor payroll based on teaching hours and resolve any payment-related inquiries.
- Complex Case Resolution & Policy Research
- Handle student complaints and exceptional cases through professional documentation, cross-functional communication, and effective resolution implementation.
- Research specific university or school policies (e.g., grade appeals, exam arrangements) to provide evidence-based solutions and mitigate service risks.
- Marketing & Branding Support
- Coordinate with designers for promotional materials and maintain accurate website content via Wix.
- Monitor international education policies (AP, IB, A-Level) to ensure student manuals and product descriptions remain updated and competitive.
- Provide operational support for online and offline marketing events to engage prospective clients.
Candidate Requirements
- Language Skills: Native or near-native fluency in Chinese and English (Bilingual), with the ability to maintain professional communication and produce clear reports in both languages.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or above; background in Education, Business, or Communications is preferred.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in overseas education services, EdTech, customer success, or operations management.
- Curriculum Knowledge: Familiarity with international curricula such as AP, A-Level, or IB is a significant plus.
Core Competencies:
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate between students, parents, and tutors in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capability and structured thinking for handling academic escalations.
- Strong organizational and data management skills, specifically with Excel or Google Sheets.
- High level of ownership and detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy in documentation and scheduling.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
