Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Daycare Teacher to join our team. As a Daycare Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and educational environment for children. Your responsibilities will include planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children, and fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Duties:
- Implement lesson plans that promote learning and development in accordance with the daycare's curriculum
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for children to learn and grow
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities
- Monitor children's behavior and implement behavior management techniques when necessary
- Collaborate with parents to ensure open communication regarding their child's progress
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Assist with mealtime routines, including feeding and promoting good eating habits
- Administer basic first aid when needed
Experience:
- Previous experience in childcare or related field is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices
- Familiarity with early childhood education methods
- Ability to educate and engage children in age-appropriate activities
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
Skills:
- Babysitting experience
- Knowledge of childhood development
- Special education background is a plus
- Familiarity with daycare regulations and standards
- Understanding of early childhood education principles
- Ability to manage behavior effectively
- Proficient in childcare duties such as diaper changing, feeding, etc.
- First aid certification is preferred
