Wee Care offers Therapy Services and Home and Community-Based Services using evidence-based treatment models to help your loved one achieve and maintain the highest level of independence. Wee Care has been serving families in our community and surrounding communities since April 2006.
Position Overview
Direct Support Providers deliver person-centered support that helps individuals with special needs build independence and participate more fully at home and in the community.
Key responsibilities include providing habilitation, attendant care, and respite services; assisting with personal care; supporting life-skill development; offering companionship; and accompanying members on community activities as outlined in the service plan.
Required qualifications/skills:
- Motivated to make a positive impact; able to promote self-esteem and advocate for members
- Possess or be able to obtain a Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Flexible availability for evenings, nights, and weekends
- Able to obtain/attend training for CPR/First Aid, Article 9, Introduction to Developmental Disabilities, and other required classes
- Experience supporting individuals with special needs preferred

Typical Shift Flow
As a Direct Support Providers team member, you’ll start by reviewing the member’s goals and service notes, then transition into structured support during the hours families most need coverage. Evenings may include routines at home, preparing for activities, and documenting progress. Weekend shifts often involve planned community outings and time focused on practicing goals in real-world settings. Across nights, evenings, and weekends, you’ll communicate updates clearly, follow safety expectations, and keep care consistent from one visit to the next.
