WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL

To excel as a Direct Support Provider at Wee Care Corp, candidates should possess a strong blend of skills and qualifications vital for delivering high-quality care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Key certifications, such as CPR and First Aid, are advantageous. Additionally, candidates should have or be able to obtain Article 9 certification and Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance. Familiarity with the Introduction to Developmental Disabilities certificate and DCW Level 12 is beneficial, along with training in Prevention and Support/Positive Behavior Support. Success in this role requires reliable transportation, including a valid driver’s license, to reach clients in various locations.
