Our ever-growing team is looking for a Office Manager/ Bookkeeper to join our La Crosse team.
Candidates should be ambitious/self-motivated, responsible/accountable, have excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate with colleagues and clients
Qualification Requirements: Associate's Degree in Accounting OR 1-Year Bookkeeping (field) Experience
Responsibilities
- Process accounts receivable transactions and ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Support the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Manage office correspondence, scheduling, and filing systems to maintain an organized workspace.
- Collaborate with team members on various projects and provide administrative support as needed.
- Answering calls and emails to clients, tenants, vendors, and other team members
- Processing rental applications to ensure our units are filled with qualified tenants
- Performing credit and background checks
- High level of tenant communication
- Scheduling maintenance
- Advertising open units
- Assist with the turnover of units which could include cleaning
Experience
- Proficiency in financial concepts including debits and credits, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting is essential.
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is preferred.
- Familiarity with GAAP standards is a plus.
- Previous experience in an administrative role or similar position is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
