Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their watercraft or marine service needs
- Assist customers in finding the proper OEM or aftermarket parts for purchase
- Prepare detailed service estimates using estimating software, clearly explaining repairs and costs to customers
- Write accurate and comprehensive service orders, documenting customer concerns, watercraft or boat issues, and recommended repairs
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, annual service, and detailing to maximize customer value
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely diagnosis using marine diagnostics tools and mechanical knowledge
- Maintain excellent customer communication throughout the repair process, providing updates and managing expectations
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently while maintaining proper records
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or background in auto service or marine service is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on mechanic experience or familiarity with mechanical diagnostics
- Experience in mechanical repair including oil changes and parts look up
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Skilled in estimating software and sales techniques with a knack for upselling services effectively
- Knowledge of dealership level or service center repair processes
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining confidentiality and integrity in financial dealings
- Prior experience working in a dealership environment or with automotive service management is advantageous
- We do require a good work ethic, punctuality and positive attitude for all of our team members
Webster Marine Center is open Monday-Friday 8-5 and Saturday 8-3
