F/T Dispatch Clerk

The dispatch team member is responsible for various departmental administrative functions and provides communication and direction to professional CDL-A drivers. Assist all departments to improve operational efficiency and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Ensuring that freight is loaded or unloaded in accordance with established procedures promoting a safe working environment. Duties include the planning, assigning, evaluating employee workload, and interfacing directly with all levels of staff.

Schedule:

Mon 2AM-8AM, 8PM-8AM, Tue 8PM-8AM, Wed 8PM-8AM

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist transportation operations to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
• Prominent level of customer service, both verbally and written.
• Monitor driver compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Establish and maintain positive and encouraging working relations with all staff and customers. Ability to interact and work well with others.
• Provides constant communication of service issues to appropriate personnel and departments.
• Work cohesively with the team in operational functions while being the key link between the organization, drivers, and customers.
• Oversee and ensure all customer pick-up and delivery requirements meet customer standards.
• On-demand thinking, problem solving, multi-tasking.
• Knowledge of computer systems, spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software.
• Performs duties as needed.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in transportation/dispatch
• Working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations a plus
• Working knowledge of ELD Hours of Service helpful
• Excellent inter-personal skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
