Duties
- Assist customers in selecting flowers, plants, and gardening supplies with enthusiasm and expert advice
- Create beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship
- Maintain the appearance of the sales floor through stocking, merchandising, and organizing floral displays
- Manage inventory levels by receiving shipments, organizing stock, and identifying plants through plant identification skills
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions via phone or in person and offering gardening tips
- Support outdoor work activities such as lawn care and landscape maintenance to keep the store’s exterior inviting
Skills
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, gardening practices, and plant identification techniques
- Experience with floral design and floral arrangement techniques
- Prior experience in retail sales, merchandising, stocking or outdoor work enhances your effectiveness
- Ability to perform outdoor work such as lawn care and landscape maintenance confidently
- Organizational skills to manage inventory efficiently and ensure a well-presented sales environment
- Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly over the phone or face-to-face
