Nearly all our technological design, development, and system management are handled in-house, allowing us to build custom, innovative solutions in a rapidly evolving e-commerce landscape.
Due to this growth, we are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer with a primary focus on enterprise storage, backup, and data protection to support our on-premises infrastructure.
This role does not focus on cloud administration.
Responsibilities
• Engineer, design, and support centralized enterprise storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, and object storage platforms such as NetApp, Dell EMC, and Dell ECS.
• Administer and optimize on-premises storage environments, including storage arrays, replication, snapshot management, deduplication, retention policies, and recovery workflows.
• Manage backup and disaster recovery processes using platforms such as Commvault, Veeam, or Rubrik, including policy configuration, backup validation, offsite replication, failover testing, and recovery readiness.
• Own performance tuning across storage arrays and local server storage.
• Proactively identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and performance risks using monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Investigate storage and infrastructure issues end to end, perform root cause analysis, and determine the most appropriate corrective solution.
• Manage physical and virtual infrastructure and support partner teams including DBRE, Security, SRE, Media, and Automated Warehouses.
• Support lifecycle management across storage and supporting infrastructure, including provisioning, patching, upgrades, migrations, hardware refreshes, and decommissioning.
• Perform hardware diagnostics and work with hardware vendors to resolve performance issues.
• Support Windows Server, Linux, and VMware environments connected to enterprise storage platforms, including VMware vSphere/ESXi and vCenter HA.
• Contribute to infrastructure projects such as storage rollouts, data migrations, hardware modernization efforts, and resiliency improvements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to solve complex infrastructure problems, recommend improvements, and strengthen long-term system health.
