Disability Services is seeking dedicated student workers to assist with clerical and testing support duties. Under the supervision of the Accommodation Specialist and the Accommodated Testing Lead staff, student workers will help facilitate academic accommodations for students with disabilities while gaining valuable professional experience in an inclusive and supportive environment.

Job Responsibilities
Depending on availability and department need, responsibilities may include:
General Office & Front Desk Support
- Perform general clerical and office duties using Microsoft Office applications.
- Answer and transfer phone calls, schedule student interactions, and scan student paperwork into the department database.
- Assist students with the steps necessary to request and receive academic accommodations.
- Provide comprehensive, quality handwritten or typed notes in classroom and university settings.
- Identify main points and sub-points from a lecture-based course and synthesize information in a clear and comprehensible manner.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding the people/classes assigned to work with.
- Facilitate accommodated testing by scheduling exams, documenting exam details accurately in the Disability Services database, and ensuring proper testing procedures are followed.
- Proctor and monitor exams in accordance with university policy, including reading and/or scribing for students as needed.
- Communicate with students to coordinate testing accommodations, troubleshoot testing related issues, and ensure a smooth testing experience.
- This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency.
- Clear and legible handwriting with strong spelling/English skills.
- Must be dependable, consistently on time, and able to work with little supervision.
- Must maintain confidentiality regarding the people, classes, and records assigned to work with.
- Able to travel to other campus locations (WSU Ogden and/or Davis) as needed.
- Some college experience. Completion of English 1010, or equivalent, preferred.
- Experience taking notes for others is beneficial, but not required.
- Applicants should have a history of taking comprehensive and quality notes for themselves in high school and/or college.
- Ability to identify main points and sub-points from a lecture-based course and synthesize information clearly.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
