General Purpose
Student Custodians needed at multiple locations. Student Custodians work in various settings and are responsible for the general upkeep of a building. Job duties may include cleaning floors, windows, carpets, and walls; vacuuming, taking out the trash, cleaning bathrooms, and maintaining all entrances and common areas. Custodians frequently work after a building has closed for the day to ensure that rooms and offices are clean and ready for the next day.
Student custodians work under the direction of the head custodian, assistant head custodian, or the building custodian, depending on the staffing. They are expected to complete their duties with minimal supervision.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be between the ages of 14 and 18
- Must be actively enrolled in an educational program
- May continue employment after turning 18 only if still enrolled and not yet graduated from high school
- Upon high school graduation, students are required to apply for an adult custodial position within the district
- Employment will end on the graduation date if an adult position is not obtained
- Individuals who have already graduated from high school are not eligible for Student Custodian positions
