What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Services Tech - Youth Services position at Weber Human Services?
A typical day as a WHS Human Services Tech with the Youth Team is about providing a safe and caring respite environment where youth can thrive while their parents/caregivers are engaging in their own self-care. You will work with clients in 2 hour increments individually or via group setting in their home, community or main WHS building. We are looking for applicants who will demonstrate boundaries, while interacting in warm, welcoming, and engaging activities with clients at all times. You will need to resolve conflicts that may arise during respite and seek supervisory assistance when needed. You need to have some writing skills to document incidents and attention to detail in planning safe and enjoyable activities. Transportation of clients will be necessary; therefore, you will need a valid Utah driver license. You will also need CPR/First Aid and a Food Handler's Permit, which we will pay for once you begin employment.
High School Diploma or Equivalent Previous Mental and Behavioral Health work/volunteer experiences with youth is recommended You will need to be available to work Saturdays and some weekday afterschool hours and evening hours. Must be willing to complete a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
This is a part-time position; 10-12 hours per week.
