What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver - Meals on Wheels position at Weber Human Services?
The Aging Services Department of Weber Human Services (WHS) is located in Ogden, Utah. WHS was organized by a cooperative agreement between the Weber and Morgan County governments to serve as a local authority for provision of their substance abuse, mental health and senior (Aging) services.
We provide opportunities and support for the senior citizens of Weber and Morgan Counties to increase their quality of life and extend their independence. Our programs are delivered with sensitivity to the frail elderly and those who have the greatest social and economic needs.

This position is for a backup (as needed) driver for Meals-on-Wheels Delivery. Deliver meals to homebound seniors (Meals on Wheels) congregate meals to senior centers and facilities and special events.
Return to center or facility to pick up unused food, money bag and soiled dishes and return to nutrition kitchen.
Keeping accurate temperature logs and maintain temperature of meals to keep the meals safe to eat.
Knowledge of street locations within Weber or Morgan Counties.
Fueling, washing and cleaning of vehicles.
Will be working outside exposer to extreme weather heat, cold wind, rain, snow, icy roads.
Knowledge of street locations within Weber or Morgan Counties.
Requires a local food handlers permit.
Must have a current state of Utah driver's license with good driving record.
Must be able to enter and exit vehicles 60 to 70 times during a route.
Be able to lift 50 pounds comfortably.
