What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver - Meals on Wheels position at Weber Human Services?
The Aging Services Department of Weber Human Services (WHS) is located in Ogden, Utah. WHS was organized by a cooperative agreement between the Weber and Morgan County governments to serve as a local authority for provision of their substance abuse, mental health and senior (Aging) services.
We provide opportunities and support for the senior citizens of Weber and Morgan Counties to increase their quality of life and extend their independence. Our programs are delivered with sensitivity to the frail elderly and those who have the greatest social and economic needs.

This opening is for back-up driver, Will train on route as needed.
Deliver meals to homebound seniors (Meals on Wheels), congregate meal sites, catered facilities and special events. Deliver to various senior centers and return to center to pick up money bags, leftovers and soiled pans. May serve as support for other drivers. Good knowledge of street locations within Weber or Morgan Counties. Other duties may include fueling, washing and cleaning vehicles as needed.
Must be 21 years of age or older. Requires a local food handler's permit. Must have a current State of Utah Driver's license with a good driving record.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be in good physical condition. Must be able to enter and exit the vehicles 60-70 times a day when needed. Outside work (exposure to extreme weather conditions such as heat, cold, wind, rain, snow and icy roads)
