We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Charge Nurse to lead and coordinate nursing care within our healthcare facility. In this vital role, you will oversee daily clinical operations, ensure high-quality patient care, and support nursing staff in delivering safe, effective, and personalized treatment. Duties

• Supervise nursing staff across shifts, ensuring adherence to care plans, policies, and safety protocols.
• Coordinate patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and medical documentation using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
• Oversee medication administration, including injections, IV infusions, catheter care, and pain management procedures.
• Facilitate communication between multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and case managers to optimize patient care plans.
• Conduct patient assessments focusing on physiology knowledge, medical terminology, and clinical confidentiality policies.
• Manage discharge planning and coordinate post-acute care services to ensure seamless patient transitions.
• Provide training and mentorship to nursing staff on topics such as infection control, Aseptic technique, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), HIPAA compliance, and emergency response procedures like CPR or first aid.

Experience

• Proven experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Center or ICU experience), skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, or home & community care environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in critical care areas including ICU, emergency medicine, trauma centers (Level I & II), or medical-surgical units.
• Strong background in specialized fields such as Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, infectious disease management, or pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator or PICU experience).
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and data management.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays; knowledge of long-term care regulations is preferred.
• Skilled in clinical procedures such as venipuncture (phlebotomy), tube feeding management, Spinal tap procedures, catheterization (including Foley catheters), suturing techniques, gastric lavage, and airway management.
• Knowledge of ICD-9/10 coding (International Classification of Diseases), CPT coding for billing purposes, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
• Ability to handle acute pain management cases effectively while maintaining a focus on patient safety and comfort.

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
