Join us as a Production Cook
We are seeking a dependable and driven Production Cook to support our kitchen operations at our Ambler locations. This position is Full-time 35 hours per week. Some Weekend Availability required. This role is responsible for efficiently and consistently preparing high-volume food production in advance of service needs, ensuring seamless execution during peak hours. The successful candidate will follow standardized recipes to prepare, package, and label a diverse selection of high-quality prepared foods for retail. This is a hands-on position that plays a critical role in maintaining product availability and delivering a positive customer experience.
Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare items from our daily production list using the provided recipes
- Pre-wrap and label products for sale
- Keep the kitchen clean and up to sanitation standards
- Follow all Weavers Way policies and procedures
- Attend team meetings and all-staff gatherings
- Help with quarterly inventory counts
- Read the daybook and other updates at the start of each shift
- Take on other duties as assigned by the Prepared Foods Manager or Manager on Duty
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in kitchen prep and production
- Have advanced knife skills
- A commitment to the mission and goals of Weavers Way Co-op.
- Volume cooking experience is a plus
- Solid knowledge of food safety practices
- A team player with great communication skills
- Able to work independently and make sound decisions when needed
- A genuine passion for food and current culinary trends
- Be, or become upon hiring, a member in good standing of Weavers Way Co-op.
