Apprentice Electrician for Residential Home Services
Weathervane Home Services is a Home Performance Contractor providing Energy Assessments, Insulation, HVAC, and other home services solutions to residents throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
Weathervane is seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to join our team who can come in and assist with in-the-field electrical work pertaining to the services we offer. This role offers hands-on training and mentorship under licensed electricians while working on diverse projects. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, dependable, and ready to work.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
- Perform electrical services for HVAC projects including; wiring condensers, service upgrades, sub panels, and panel swaps.
- Install or replace bath fans, including timer switches.
- Prepare and organize tools, materials, and equipment for daily tasks.
- Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
- Support troubleshooting and problem-solving under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on job sites.
- Travel regularly to various locations throughout Eastern and Central Massachusetts as required.
- Additional responsibilities as identified.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited trade school.
- Enrollment in electrical apprenticeship program for a minimum of 1 - 2 years.
- Strong interest in electrical work and career growth in the trade.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied environments (indoor/outdoor).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication skills by phone, text and email.
- Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to drive long distances and work varying hours.
Compensation
- Base salary of $20-$25 per hour based on experience.
- PTO and vacation time accrued based upon hours worked
