Role Description

As our Event Operations Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind seamless event execution and world-class hospitality. Responsibilities include overseeing the end-to-end execution of events, managing operational aspects to ensure seamless logistics, and coordinating with various teams to guarantee a high standard of hospitality. Focus on customer satisfaction, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously will contribute to the overall success of Friends of Laguna Seca and WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca’s daily operation, events and enhance our reputation for delivering top-notch hospitality services.


Your Impact

· Event Planning & Execution: Manage all operational aspects of events from concept to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

· Vendor Management: Oversee vendor agreements, negotiate pricing, and maintain strong supplier relationships for event services.

· Hospitality Coordination: Partner with internal teams to deliver premium hospitality experiences for corporate and individual clients.

· Compliance & Permits: Prepare and submit permit applications; coordinate with agencies such as County of Monterey, Health Department, Fire Department, ABC, FAA, and military branches.

· Technical Layouts: Create AutoCAD maps and schematics for paddock layouts, hospitality areas, and safety compliance.

· Budget Oversight: Assist in preparing and managing operational budgets; monitor variances and implement corrective actions.

· Reporting: Maintain accurate records, prepare operational performance reports, and track key metrics post-event.

· Safety & Standards: Ensure all setups comply with fire, health, and building codes; coordinate sanitation and facility requirements.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.

· Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining high guest satisfaction.

· Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.


Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of managerial experience.
  • At least 3 years in event operations, logistics, or hospitality (raceway or large-scale event experience preferred).


Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
