Job Description

You'll work hands-on with advanced technology, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure the highest standards of safety and operational excellence. Available positions range from junior roles with direct supervision to senior positions leading teams and managing complex installations. This is a dynamic, field-based opportunity requiring 50-75% travel and 24-hour availability to meet customer needs.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring all activities comply with HSE policies, Management Systems, and Weatherford's Rules to Live By. Place Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental protection as core values in all operations.
  • Quality Assurance: Actively comply with and improve Weatherford's Quality Management System, maintaining service quality as an immediate priority across all business areas.
  • Field Operations: Participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA). Perform job planning, tool preparation, mobilization, and job execution. Monitor and analyze data to recommend optimal services and solutions to clients.
  • Equipment Management: Test, operate, and maintain tools and equipment according to work instructions and safety procedures. Maintain equipment, facilities, and work areas in safe, presentable conditions. Effectively manage inventory and supplies at well sites.
  • Client Relations: Act as the primary interface with clients at well sites, developing and maintaining positive relationships to ensure repeat business. Deliver superior service quality and submit all job-related documentation including reports, service tickets, and logs with required signatures for timely invoicing.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate to your role level. Senior positions will troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform engineering checks and calculations on location, interpret data for client representatives, and act as technical advisors to management.
  • Team Leadership: Intermediate and senior roles will oversee, lead, and mentor field operation crew members, managing Weatherford personnel at well sites and overseeing installation of complex equipment and services.
  • Failure Analysis: Follow up equipment failures with the R&M team, ensure failure reports are closed with clients, and contribute to or lead equipment failure investigations supporting Root Cause Analysis reports.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communications with all key internal and external stakeholders. Be available on a 24-hour call basis to respond to customer needs.
  • Financial Responsibility: Ensure costs are within approved budgets and processed within agreed timeframes following relevant financial policies and procedures.
  • Professional Development: Complete all necessary function, compliance, and business standards training. Engage regularly with your line manager to discuss performance, objectives, and career development opportunities.

Skills And Education

  • High School Diploma
  • 1 – 2½ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Technical Certificate from accredited Technical/Vocational School
  • Fundamentals of Mechanics, Electricity, Electronics, Pneumatics, and/or Hydraulics
  • Strong mathematics, basic physics, and chemistry knowledge
  • Computer fundamentals and proficiency
  • Critical thinking, active learning and listening, and complex problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent reading and writing skills with strong judgment and decision-making capabilities
  • Time management and quality control analysis skills
  • Service-oriented mindset with strong customer focus
  • Physical capability to undertake field-based tasks required for the role
  • Information and task ordering abilities with problem identification and solution skills
  • Ability to react effectively and efficiently when operating tools and machinery
  • Spatial visualization skills to imagine how tools and products will look during assembly, repair, or modifications
  • Mathematical reasoning capabilities
  • This role requires domestic and potentially international travel of 50-75%
