Job Summary:
The Certified Dietary Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the dietary department to ensure residents receive nutritious, well-balanced meals in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the dietary department, including staffing, scheduling, and supervision

• Ensure meals are prepared according to prescribed diets and individual preferences

• Oversee menu planning and food preparation to meet nutritional guidelines

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all food service areas

• Monitor inventory and order food and supplies as needed

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (e.g., FDA, CMS, local health codes)

• Collaborate with nursing and clinical teams to meet residents’ dietary needs

• Train and support dietary staff

Qualifications:

• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or equivalent certification required (or willingness to obtain)

• Experience in food service management, preferably in a long-term care or healthcare setting

• Strong knowledge of dietary regulations in skilled nursing facilities

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• ServSafe certification preferred
