Temporary Operator – Start-up & Commissioning

About the Role
We’re looking for experienced Operators to support the start-up and commissioning of new operating units at a petrochemical facility. This role is hands-on, safety-focused, and essential to ensuring reliable and compliant plant operations. You’ll work closely with shift teams, supervisors, and technical staff to bring new units online safely and efficiently.
What You’ll Do
Promote a strong culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Follow all site safety policies, procedures, and training requirements
Support environmental compliance and complete required HSE training
Operate chemical and utility process equipment during start-up and commissioning
Identify and communicate operational improvement opportunities
Troubleshoot equipment issues and report findings to Operations or Maintenance
Participate in emergency response training and preparedness
Use computer systems to document activities, log issues, and track progress
Perform or assist with basic autonomous maintenance tasks
What We’re Looking For
High School Diploma required
Vocational/technical training or an Associate degree is a plus
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and adherence to procedures
Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations
Ability to safely operate mobile equipment (forklifts, manlifts, etc.) after training
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs (25 kg)
Flexibility to work varying schedules as needed
