Temporary Operator – Start-up & CommissioningLocation: West Virginia, USAIndustry: Petrochemicals & Fine ChemicalsJob Type: Temporary / Full-TimeAbout the RoleWe’re looking for experienced Operators to support the start-up and commissioning of new operating units at a petrochemical facility. This role is hands-on, safety-focused, and essential to ensuring reliable and compliant plant operations. You’ll work closely with shift teams, supervisors, and technical staff to bring new units online safely and efficiently.What You’ll DoPromote a strong culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvementFollow all site safety policies, procedures, and training requirementsSupport environmental compliance and complete required HSE trainingOperate chemical and utility process equipment during start-up and commissioningIdentify and communicate operational improvement opportunitiesTroubleshoot equipment issues and report findings to Operations or MaintenanceParticipate in emergency response training and preparednessUse computer systems to document activities, log issues, and track progressPerform or assist with basic autonomous maintenance tasksWhat We’re Looking ForHigh School Diploma requiredVocational/technical training or an Associate degree is a plusStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail and adherence to proceduresUnderstanding of health, safety, and environmental regulationsAbility to safely operate mobile equipment (forklifts, manlifts, etc.) after trainingAbility to lift up to 55 lbs (25 kg)Flexibility to work varying schedules as needed
