A well-capitalized, rapidly growing multifamily developer is seeking a Vice President of Construction to lead and scale its construction operations across a large, active development pipeline. This is a senior executive role with full ownership of delivery, performance, and team leadership on complex, large-scale multifamily projects.
The Role -
The Vice President of Construction will oversee all aspects of construction execution from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with executive leadership, development, and finance teams while building and mentoring high-performing project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Executive oversight of multiple large-scale multifamily projects ($50M per project)
- Lead construction strategy, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management
- Manage and mentor Directors, Project Executives, Project Managers, and field teams
- Partner closely with Development and Preconstruction on feasibility, GMPs, and value engineering
- Drive contractor performance, safety, quality, and schedule adherence
- Implement scalable processes, systems, and reporting as the platform grows
- Represent construction at the executive level with ownership and investors
Required Experience -
- 10 years of multifamily construction experience, with a strong focus on ground-up developments
- Proven track record delivering projects valued at $50M
- Prior experience in a senior leadership role (VP, Project Executive, Director of Construction, or equivalent)
- Deep knowledge of multifamily construction methods, sequencing, and risk mitigation
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost controls, and forecasting
- Ability to lead large teams across multiple active projects and markets
