About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established and growing property management organization is seeking an organized, proactive and customer-focused Assistant Property Manager to join their team in Ridgefield, Connecticut. This role is ideal for a property management professional who enjoys building strong resident relationships, supporting daily operations and contributing to the overall success of a residential community.
The Assistant Property Manager will work closely with the Property Manager to ensure efficient property operations, maintain high resident satisfaction, and support leasing, financial, and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day management and operations of residential properties.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for residents, addressing inquiries, concerns, and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Support lease administration, including renewals, move-ins, move-outs, and resident communications.
- Assist in rent collection efforts and monitor delinquency reports.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams and vendors to ensure timely completion of work orders and property projects.
- Maintain accurate resident files, property records, and management reports.
- Assist with budget tracking, invoice processing, and financial reporting.
- Conduct property inspections and help ensure compliance with company standards and local regulations.
- Support leasing and occupancy goals through resident retention initiatives and customer service excellence.
- Assist with vendor management and contract administration as needed.
- Perform other administrative and operational duties to support the Property Manager and overall property performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 2 years of property management, real estate, leasing, or related experience.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software platforms.
- Knowledge of fair housing regulations and property management best practices is preferred.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
