Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Residential Remodeler to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in residential renovation projects, with a strong background in carpentry, drywall, flooring, and various finishing techniques. This role involves transforming existing spaces into functional and aesthetically pleasing environments, ensuring all work meets safety standards and client specifications. The Residential Remodeler will collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and other trades to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
Duties
- Demolish and remove existing structures or fixtures as needed for remodeling projects
- Frame new walls, install doors and windows, and perform trim carpentry including door hanging and cabinetry installation
- Install flooring, tile, stucco, plastering, and other surface finishes
- Operate power tools, hand tools, heavy equipment, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Conduct plumbing and electrical work or coordinate with licensed professionals for specialized tasks
- Install glass fixtures, countertops, cabinets, and other custom features
- Apply caulking, painting, and finishing techniques to ensure high-quality surface finishes
- Manage construction site safety protocols and ensure compliance with all regulations
- Collaborate with project management to estimate costs using construction estimating skills and manage materials efficiently
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential remodeling or general construction projects with a strong portfolio of completed work
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction management principles
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and fabrication techniques
- Knowledge of various construction trades including carpentry (frame carpentry), roofing, masonry, drywall installation (plastering), flooring (tile laying), stucco application, welding, and restoration work
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for precise execution of projects
- Experience with construction estimating and site inspection processes preferred
- Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements
- Valid
certification or equivalent is a plus but not mandatory
