Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Pre-K Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in their early childhood development journey. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management.
- Deliver engaging lessons in literacy education, math, physical education, and other core subjects tailored to preschool learners’ developmental stages.
- Use classroom management techniques to maintain discipline and foster respectful interactions among students.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings or written updates.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to maintain a safe learning environment.
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student assessments, standardized testing results, lesson plans, and classroom activities.
- Provide toddler care when needed, including supervision during playtime, meals, and rest periods.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development instruction, Montessori methods, or other educational approaches.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is required; prior classroom experience is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience developing curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math skills, and physical activity components such as teaching physical education or movement-based activities.
- Familiarity with special education needs, behavior management strategies, and early intervention programs.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare is essential for ensuring compliance and safety.
- Previous experience working in private schools or daycare environments is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in Montessori teaching methods or childhood development are a plus.
