What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Language Pathologist position at We Play Therapeutic Play Center?
Duties:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients based on their specific needs
- Provide therapy sessions to patients to improve their speech and language skills
- Monitor and track progress of patients throughout the course of treatment
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and educators, to develop comprehensive care plans for patients
- Provide guidance and support to families of patients, offering strategies for communication at home
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans
Requirements:
-At least 3 years of experience treating pediatric and adolescent children.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Previous experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist is preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, as well as various assessment and treatment techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation requirements
