IMC is currently looking for a Speech Therapist to join our team on a PRN basis. Under the general supervision of the Director of Rehab Services, the Speech Therapist will be responsible
for administration, management and direct application of Speech/Language
Pathology treatments and modalities as
prescribed by a referring physician in the hospital’s inpatient, and outpatient
settings. The Speech Therapist evaluates, plans,
directs and treats all patients referred to speech/language Pathology. Provides treatments to restore function and
prevent disability following disease or injury.
Assists patients to obtain maximum performance and function in society
while learning to live a routine “normal” life within the constraints of their
disability.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/LICENSURE//TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of a Masters Degree in Speech
Pathology from an approved school. Current valid SLP Licensure in Louisiana, or a temporary permit granted by
state board. Successful completion of long term
clinical rotations in inpatient and outpatient environments from an accredited ST school, or one year of
recent experience in inpatient or outpatient practice.

Evaluate & Treat patients Monitor and assess patients Supervise delivery of treatment to
patients Reassess patients Assist Director of rehab with
development and maintenance of Speech policies and procedures Assist with scheduling of patients Documentation of patient care Assist with daily operations of
outpatient and inpatient rehab services
