Duties and Responsibilities:

• First-chair plaintiff personal injury trials from jury selection through verdict.
• Manage complex personal injury matters through litigation and resolution.
• Develop trial strategy and prepare cases thoroughly for court.
• Conduct and defend depositions, including expert and fact-witness depositions.
• Draft and argue substantive motions and handle court appearances.
• Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences and case-valuation meetings.
• Negotiate high-value settlements with opposing counsel and insurance carriers.
• Work closely with clients, paralegals, experts and the firm’s support departments.
• Mentor junior and mid-level attorneys and provide guidance on litigation and trial strategy.
• Handle matters involving automobile accidents, premises liability, Labor Law, nursing-home negligence and occasional medical-malpractice claims.

Core Requirements:

• Active New York Bar admission in good standing.
• At least 10 years of plaintiff-side personal injury experience.
• Proven first-chair jury-trial experience.
• Strong courtroom advocacy, legal writing and negotiation skills.
• Ability to independently manage complex cases through verdict.
• Strong leadership skills and an interest in mentoring developing attorneys.
• Stable employment history and an interest in making a long-term move.
• Ability to work from the Port Washington office five days per week.
