The Role
The successful candidate will support and lead key components of Private Equity Associate matters, including:
- Support and lead core workstreams on sophisticated transactions.
- Draft, review and negotiate principal and ancillary transaction documents.
- Coordinate diligence, signing and closing processes across deal teams.
- Advise clients on transaction structure, execution and risk allocation.
- Collaborate across practices and offices on complex, time-sensitive matters.
The role offers increasing responsibility as experience, judgment and client relationships develop.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking a Private Equity Associate with:
- 2–6 years of relevant experience, consistent with the seniority sought for this search.
- Substantive experience relevant to Private Equity Associate.
- Strong drafting, analytical, communication and matter-management skills.
- A JD from a Top 50 U.S. law school.
- Candidates must have experience representing private equity sponsors in the acquisition and disposition of portfolio companies.
- Candidates must be admitted to practice law in DC.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $230,000–$360,000 benefits & bonuses. Actual base compensation may depend on class year, experience, qualifications and other job-related factors.
