Corporate Attorney (8 Years Experience)
Direct Counsel is partnering with a nationally recognized AmLaw 200 law firm to identify an experienced mergers & acquisitions attorney with 8 years of experience for its corporate business unit for its Washington, D.C. office.
The ideal candidate will possess the following experience and skills:
- Experience counseling employee benefit plan sponsors with respect to ERISA and IRS requirements for 401(k) plans
- Significant knowledge of employee benefits issues in the context of corporate mergers and acquisitions, and experience reviewing merger and acquisition agreements for purposes of ERISA review
- Experience in negotiating and drafting executive employment agreements and incentive plans on behalf of employers and executives
- ERISA compliance
- Exceptional work ethic, attention to detail, initiative, and motivation
- Ability to thrive in a team environment
- Strong academic credentials
Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $275,000 - $450,000 (DOE)
