Location/Schedule: Newark, NJ (Hybrid)

Base Salary: $275k

Practice: Construction Litigation – Sophisticated construction defect, delay claims, mechanic’s liens, Labor Law, and complex commercial construction disputes for contractors, developers, owners, and insurers.

Core Requirements (Flexibility for Exceptional Candidates):

• JD from an accredited law school and active New Jersey bar admission (New York admission a plus).
• 8 years of construction litigation or related complex commercial litigation experience.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction litigation matters from inception through discovery, motion practice, and trial
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and dispositive briefs
• Conduct depositions of key witnesses, experts, and corporate representatives
• Analyze contracts, delay claims, defect allegations, and insurance coverage issues
• Prepare for and participate in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings
