WC Smith has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of AVEC on H Street. This role is responsible for managing the property’s performance while leading and supporting on-site teams to ensure operational excellence, strong financial results, and high resident satisfaction. The Property Manager will provide hands-on leadership, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and maintain a positive, well-managed community.

  • In conjunction with the Assistant Property Manager, ensure the leasing team is processing leasing applications and rent collections.
  • Collaborate with corporate accounting to reconcile accounts.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel for eviction filings and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, resolving issues at the property to the extent possible.
  • Oversee concierge, maintenance, and security personnel to achieve corporate and community goals.
  • Ensure all team members receive appropriate training and that performance management is consistently executed.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to fair housing and equal employment at all times.
  • Collaborate with the property team to ensure understanding of problems the property is facing.


REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • Minimum of two years 'experience as a Property Manager, or Community Manager in residential property management.
  • Must have experience working at a Class A property.
  • Experience managing a property of at least 200 units is required.
  • Prior experience leading a team of at least three is required.
  • Previous experience with Yardi is required.
  • Experience with collecting and posting rent is preferred.
  • Experience with DC L&T Court strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience with Inclusionary Zoning (IZ) is preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel software).
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • High degree of energy and motivation.
  • Outstanding customer service orientation.
