Role Overview:We are looking for help in managing day-to-day household operations. This role combines household management, personal assistance, logistics coordination, and light project management. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, positive, detail-oriented, and independent. You should enjoy creating order, anticipate needs, and help a household run smoothly. We want to start at 10–20 hours per week with flexibility.
We’re looking for lighter help now and picking it up come August.
Core Responsibilities:
> Household Operations
- Laundry (wash, dry, fold, organize)
- Coffee machine (cleaning, refill, water filters, descaling)
- Basic home tidying and organization
- Help with dishes and tidying kitchen
- Preparing the house for professional cleaning services
- Managing household supplies and restocking essentials
- Coordinating household contractors when needed
> Food and Meal Support
- Weekly meal planning
- Grocery shopping and managing pantry
- Meal preparation and occasional cooking
- Preparing healthy snacks for kids and family
- Maintaining kitchen appliances and food storage systems
> Errands
- Mail sorting and organization
- Managing occasional Amazon returns and shipments
- Packing and shipping gifts or packages
- Dry cleaning drop-off and pickup
- Running miscellaneous errands
> Children: help with two elementary-aged boys
- School pickup when needed (tbd)
- Transport to activities or appointments (tbd)
- Scheduling appointments
- Assisting with organizing backpacks, school materials, rooms (but not doing it all for them :)
- Occasional childcare support (e.g., date night back-up as we do already have a nanny once a week)
- Parents remain the primary caregivers. The goal is to assist with logistics.

- Monitoring food and supplies
- Litter box

- Coordinating pet medication and appointments (we’ll take them)
> Home and Property
- Scheduling and coordinating occasional contractors
- Managing minor home projects
- Trash and recycling coordination
- Plant watering
- Hot tub maintenance
> Travel Preparation
- Packing list coordination
- Shopping for travel supplies
- Packing assistance
- Preparing the home before travel
- Coordinating pet care during trips
- Possibly checking on home/pets when we travel (a couple short trips a year)
> Vehicle Management (tbd)
- Keeping vehicles clean and organized
- Scheduling maintenance appointments
- Oil changes, tank filling, and service coordination
> Rental Property Support (tbd)
- Occasional support related to local rental property operations
- Scheduling contractor work
- Coordinating showings
- Managing listing communication
> Household Finance Administration (Light)
- Subscription tracking and management
- Reconciling some purchases
- Tracking household expenses when needed
Requirements/non-negotiables
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, safe driving record
- Comfortable running errands locally
- Ability to lift 30 lbs independently
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ok with dog, cat, and chickens (all well behaved, no roosters)
- Good with kids - this isn’t a babysitting job, but it may come up on occasion that we’ll need your help as a backup with driving them or watching them for a up to a couple hours
- Basic comfort with technology (calendar, notes, reminders)
- Trusted with basic financial tasks
- Will pass background check
- Certified CPR & First Aid or Willing to Complete (will do so at employers expense)
Pay: $23.94 - $30.04 per hour
