Job Description:
Warner Brothers Services is seeking a reliable and dedicated Seasonal Snow Plow Truck Driver to join our winter maintenance team. This position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating snow plow and salter trucks to clear snow and ice from roads, parking lots, and other designated areas.
This is a seasonal position requiring availability 24/7 throughout the snow season, including nights, weekends, holidays, and short-notice snow removal events. Candidates must be experienced, dependable, and comfortable working in all weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate snow plow and salter trucks to safely remove snow and ice from assigned areas.
- Follow assigned routes and complete snow removal services in a timely and efficient manner.
- Be available for snow removal operations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during the snow season, as needed.
- Respond to short-notice and spur-of-the-moment snow removal needs.
- Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicles and equipment are safe and operational.
- Properly operate and monitor plow and salting equipment.
- Communicate with dispatch and management regarding route status, equipment issues, delays, or other concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and hours worked.
- Assist with basic equipment maintenance and minor repairs when needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and applicable regulations.
- Provide professional and courteous service to clients and the general public.
- Work extended hours in challenging winter weather conditions when necessary.
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan Chauffeur’s License with current MDOT requirements/qualifications.
- Previous experience operating snow plow and salter trucks required.
- Previous snow removal or winter maintenance experience required.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be dependable and able to respond when called for snow events.
- Must be available 24/7 throughout the snow season, including nights, weekends, holidays, and short-notice events.
- Ability to work long hours during snow and ice events.
- Ability to work independently and follow assigned routes and instructions.
- Strong communication skills and a dependable work ethic.
- Ability to safely operate equipment in all winter weather conditions.
