What are the responsibilities and job description for the Snow Plow Operator / Driver position at Metro Snow Removal, LLC?
Responsibilities:
- Operate snow plow equipment to clear roads, parking lots, and sidewalks during winter weather conditions
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on snow plow equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Clear snow and ice from designated areas using shovels, snow blowers, and other tools
- Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to snow removal requests
- Follow established routes and schedules for efficient snow plowing operations
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate snow removal efforts
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including time logs and maintenance reports
Skills:
- Mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain snow plow equipment effectively
- Proficiency in snow plowing techniques, including proper blade positioning and maneuvering
- Ability to dig out vehicles trapped in deep snow or ice
- Experience in mowing, irrigating, tree trimming, gardening, and general landscape maintenance
- Knowledge of tree care practices, including pruning and removal
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a neat and organized work area
