- What You’ll Do… These positions are located at our R&D Facilities in Houston, Texas.
The internship program assignments are 10-14 weeks in duration and are full-time on-site internships.

Your Key Responsibilities: Projects you could potentially work on include:
- Conducting research and development in modeling, control, and data analytics for solving challenging problems in the oil & gas industry
- Design, prototype and implement control system and/or data analytics techniques for automation of machines.
- Participate and present experiments, ideas and results to stake holders and team members
- Use programming skills to build simulation, analytics and execution frameworks
- Review technical journals and literature to investigate and propose solutions for challenges in oil and gas domain. What You’ll Bring to Our Team Required Qualifications:
- Reliable transportation to and from work daily is required.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States both now and in the future; Halliburton will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with Python, MATLAB, C, C , Data science and Machine Learning
- Ability & desire to work with a multi-disciplinary engineering team
- Desired Experiences:
- Prior intern, co-op, or research experience
- Worked with large data sets, unstructured data, structured data and supporting compute/cloud systems like Microsoft Azure
- Built tools/workflows and support structures needed to analyze data, perform data cleaning, execute feature detection, and extract business value from data.
- Leveraged data visualization software applications, such as Plotly, Power BI, Javascipt, Flask, Django etc.
- What We Offer… Relocation This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. To qualify, your university and/or permanent address must be more than 50 miles from your work location.
- Corporate housing is provided for the summer for those candidates who qualify.
