- Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional care and assistance to veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and treatments.
- Assist in restraining and handling animals with compassion and skill.
- Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, nail trims, and dental cleanings under supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites.
- Handle client inquiries and provide clear, concise information regarding pet care and hospital services.
- Manage medical records accurately and ensure proper documentation of patient history and treatments.
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals, alerting veterinarians to any abnormalities.
- Assist in laboratory procedures, including sample collection and analysis.
- Perform routine maintenance on medical equipment and report any malfunctions promptly.
- Participate in continuous learning and stay updated on veterinary best practices and protocols.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, supporting colleagues in various tasks.
- Qualifications:
- - Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and aseptic technique- Experience in animal handling and care- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and sample collection- Ability to handle and work with a variety of animals, including dogs and cats- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and veterinary staff Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of qualifications.
