As part of our expanding Philanthropy team, you will help bring to life events that inspire action, strengthen relationships, and generate vital support for our programs across the state.About the RoleThe Part-Time Event Coordinator will play a key role in the planning and execution of Waypoint’s community engagement and fundraising events. This position blends logistics, relationship-building, and creativity to ensure memorable, mission-driven experiences for participants, donors, volunteers, and partners.In this role, you will be a central contributor to Waypoint’s two signature annual events:SleepOut – a statewide awareness and fundraising event supporting runaway and homeless youthTouch-a-Truck – a family-friendly community event that draws thousands to learn, play, and connectYou will also assist with smaller stewardship gatherings and community engagement activities that help deepen donor relationships and expand Waypoint’s impact.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate event logistics including venue arrangements, timelines, equipment needs, and on-site setup and breakdownServe as a primary point of contact for vendors, sponsors, and community partnersSupport volunteer recruitment, communication, and day-of coordinationAssist with donor and sponsor engagement through outreach, stewardship, and event-day hospitalityHelp manage event registrations, tracking, and follow-upCollaborate closely with the Philanthropy team to ensure events reflect Waypoint’s mission, values, and community-centered approachContribute to creative planning, event design, and storytelling opportunities that elevate participant experienceWhat You BringA warm, personable communication style and a genuine enthusiasm for connecting with peopleStrong organizational skills and ability to manage many moving pieces with calm and careExperience supporting events, volunteer coordination, or community engagement (professional or volunteer experience welcomed)Ability to work some evenings or weekends as needed for event activitiesComfort working both independently and collaboratively within a mission-driven teamWhy Waypoint?Since 1850, Waypoint has been a trusted partner to New Hampshire individuals and families.
