About the Position
Waypoint Specialty is a growing specialty insurance organization seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to assist with the implementation, administration, and ongoing management of commercial property and casualty insurance programs.
This position offers an opportunity for an experienced commercial insurance professional to move beyond traditional account servicing and become directly involved in managing specialty insurance programs, working with carriers, brokers, underwriting partners, and internal teams.
The ideal candidate has a strong working knowledge of commercial P&C insurance, excellent organizational skills, and experience managing complex insurance relationships and processes.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate the day-to-day administration and ongoing management of commercial insurance programs.
- Work directly with insurance carriers, brokers, underwriters, and program partners to ensure smooth program operations.
- Coordinate policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, and other policy administration activities.
- Monitor program deadlines, reporting requirements, and operational commitments.
- Prepare, review, and coordinate carrier reporting, premium reconciliations, and bordereaux.
- Assist with onboarding and implementation of new insurance programs.
- Maintain accurate program documentation, records, and operating procedures.
- Work with internal accounting, compliance, underwriting, and program development teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reporting, and operational efficiency.
- Help develop the processes and infrastructure necessary to support a growing specialty insurance organization.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Direct experience in the commercial property and casualty insurance industry.
- Working knowledge of commercial insurance policies, coverages, underwriting processes, and carrier relationships.
- Experience managing commercial insurance accounts, policies, or insurance-related operations.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with an MGA, program administrator, wholesale broker, or specialty insurance carrier.
- Experience with excess and surplus lines insurance.
- Experience with Applied Epic or comparable insurance management systems.
- Familiarity with carrier reporting, premium accounting, or bordereaux.
- Experience coordinating policy issuance, renewals, endorsements, and related insurance processes.
- Active Florida property and casualty insurance license.
