Pay & Schedule
- Starting Pay: $15.00/hour
- Consistent weekday schedule
- School Year - Monday-Friday, 6:30-9:00 AM and 4-6:00 PM
- Summer - Hours will vary based on program needs
- Potential for additional hours during school breaks
What You’ll Do
As an Assistant Teacher, you’ll play an important role in creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment for school-aged children. You’ll partner with other teachers to make each day engaging, structured, and meaningful.
In this role, you will:
- Help lead fun, age-appropriate activities and learning experiences that keep kids engaged and learning
- Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development
- Supervise children to ensure a safe environment at all times
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
- Help keep the classroom organized, clean, and ready for learning
- Use positive guidance to encourage good behavior and problem-solving
- Support daily routines like snacks, hygiene, and transitions

What You’ll Need To be successful in this role, you should:
- Be at least 16 years old
- Have a high school diploma/GED (or be working toward one)
- Have 1 year of childcare experience (preferred), not required – we’re happy to train the right person!
- Have reliable transportation and a strong commitment to being on time
- Feel confident interacting with children and communicating with parents
- Be willing to complete required training once hired (CPR/First Aid, Mandatory Reporter, etc.)
- Be able to stay active throughout your shift, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
