WCI’s Construction Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial and/or residential construction projects. This role analyzes project plans and specifications, collaborates with subcontractors and suppliers, and supports project teams throughout the bidding and preconstruction phases.

- Review project drawings, specifications, and related documents to determine scope of work
- Assist in preparing detailed project cost estimates and bid proposals
- Assist in subcontractor prequalification processes
- Develop and maintain qualified subcontractor bid invitation lists
- Solicit, obtain, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
- Perform quantity take-offs and obtain material pricing
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options
- Participate in pre-proposal meetings and prepare RFIs
- Evaluate project plans and specifications for constructability
- Help prepare, organize, and coordinate Request for Proposal (RFP) documents
- Maintain historical cost data and perform document archiving
- Communicate regularly with management, subcontractors, clients, and internal teams
- Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings -as required
- 3 years of estimating experience in commercial and/or residential construction
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Bid Management, Planhub or similar)
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- Experience with Federal or USACE projects
