Direct Report: Supervisor of Environmental Services
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor, you are responsible for providing the highest quality of care in our 117-bed facility to our residents in a family-like environment. You will be responsible for cleaning the facility and resident rooms. Your goal is to provide quality service to our residents.
Qualifications:
- Housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Flexible availability, periodically working different shifts based on operational needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs routine housekeeping services which include the cleaning of furniture, equipment, floors, walls, windows, toilets, mirrors, sinks, etc., and the emptying of wastebaskets.
- Assist in keeping residents’ rooms and common areas clean and orderly.
- Removal and application of bedding and linens.
- Vacuuming and cleaning carpets.
- Stocking and maintaining an inventory of housekeeping supplies.
- Reporting breakages, damages and safety issues for repairs to the maintenance department.
- Perform project cleaning as required. This may include windows, grounds, wheel chair, stripping and waxing floors, etc.
Specific Requirements:
- Must be able to follow established quality and infection control procedures and policies set forth by the facility and federal guidelines.
- Ability to use operate hand or lightweight cleaning tools.
- Must be able to work as a team.
- Must be able to read and write the English language.
- Must possess excellent oral and strong written communication skills.
- Must possess excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking skills to complete daily tasks.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift and move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift/push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
