Housekeeping Aide

Part-time: 56 hours per biweekly pay, 7am - 330pm w/ every other weekend rotation

Direct Report: Supervisor of Environmental Services

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor, you are responsible for providing the highest quality of care in our 117-bed facility to our residents in a family-like environment. You will be responsible for cleaning the facility and resident rooms. Your goal is to provide quality service to our residents.

Qualifications:

• Housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Flexible availability, periodically working different shifts based on operational needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs routine housekeeping services which include the cleaning of furniture, equipment, floors, walls, windows, toilets, mirrors, sinks, etc., and the emptying of wastebaskets.
• Assist in keeping residents’ rooms and common areas clean and orderly.
• Removal and application of bedding and linens.
• Vacuuming and cleaning carpets.
• Stocking and maintaining an inventory of housekeeping supplies.
• Reporting breakages, damages and safety issues for repairs to the maintenance department.
• Perform project cleaning as required. This may include windows, grounds, wheel chair, stripping and waxing floors, etc.

Specific Requirements:

• Must be able to follow established quality and infection control procedures and policies set forth by the facility and federal guidelines.
• Ability to use operate hand or lightweight cleaning tools.
• Must be able to work as a team.
• Must be able to read and write the English language.
• Must possess excellent oral and strong written communication skills.
• Must possess excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking skills to complete daily tasks.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift and move intermittently throughout the workday.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
