The Sanitation Supervisor is a key role at Wayne-Sanderson Farms responsible for overseeing the sanitation team and ensuring compliance with company, regulatory agency, and legal guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise the day-to-day activities of the sanitation team to maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the poultry processing facility.
- Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), USDA, and FDA guidelines.
- Partner with Quality Assurance to guarantee a food-safe environment and meet all specifications and USDA requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments and shifts to achieve departmental and location goals.
- Administer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions fairly and consistently.
- Conduct regular housekeeping, SQF, and regulatory audits.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
Requirements:
- Minimum three years of experience in food manufacturing, preferably in poultry.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with knowledge of timekeeping, policy adherence, conflict resolution, and efficient issue resolution.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, their interactions, and potential hazards.
- Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, GMP, and HACCP.
- Good computer skills for data input and review.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work extended shifts, including holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Capacity to stand and move throughout the facility during the shift.
- Tolerance for working in environments with live or raw animal odors.
