Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) is seeking a Physician’s Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join the team at our Northern Wayne Family Health Center. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of to ensure optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction.

What you will do as a WMCHC Nurse Practitioner/Physician’s Assistant:
- Patient Care: Conduct complete, detailed, and accurate medical histories and physical examinations for walk-in patients
- Diagnosis & Treatment: Formulate appropriate diagnoses and develop and implement individualized treatment plans within the scope of practice and established protocols.
- Diagnostics: Order and interpret diagnostic tests, as needed.
- Procedures: Perform minor in-office procedures, as needed
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records using our integrated Electronic Health Record (EHR) system (eClinicalWorks)
- Education & Counseling: Provide comprehensive health education and guidance to patients and families regarding preventative health, treatment plans, and side effects.
- Collaboration: Consult with supervising physicians on patient care and administrative issues, collaborating regularly with nursing and medical staff to ensure quality care.
- Quality Improvement: Actively participate in patient safety and quality improvement processes.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support efficient operation of the department.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current, active, and unrestricted licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- National certification as an Advanced Practice Provider.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification; ACLS/PALS preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in walk in or family medicine required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, think critically, and make independent, decisive judgments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a commitment to excellent customer service and compassionate care.
- Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques as a professional health care provider; in taking medical history to assess medical condition and interpret findings
- Ability to maintain quality control standards and ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures and to communicate clearly
