Job Summary:
The staff RN is a professional caregiver who provides nursing care to patients, assessing, monitoring and evaluating the patients response to nursing interventions. The staff RN provides care for patients from the age of newborn to geriatric. The RN demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, values and guiding principles of the unit and Wayne General Hospital; remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits; treats staff, physician, patients and families with consideration and respect. Meets specific departmental competency criteria.
Qualifications:
OB/Nursery: Recent acute OB and newborn experience preferred. NRP certified within one year and maintained. ACLS required within 6 months of hire and maintained every 2 years. CPR required within 3 months of employment, and maintained every 2 years.
