Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate Medical Records staff
- Oversee medical record operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Monitor and assist with coding processes as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures
- Perform statistical analysis and reporting as needed
- Code outpatient surgery charts
- Serve as liaison to Radiology and other departments
- Stay current with healthcare regulations and industry best practices
- Ensure efficient release and handling of medical records
- College degree in Registered Health Information Technology, Health Information Administration, or related field required
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and customers
- Previous management experience preferred
